About Us
The Great Leap Academy, nestled in an inclusive community of Alameda and Berkeley, offers a unique blend of early childhood enrichment programs designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in young minds. Founded by Teacher Red Tan in 2014 in Manila, Philippines, our academy was unfortunately forced to close its doors due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, we are excited to bring our passion for nurturing young minds to the lovely Bay Area families. Our hub is dedicated to providing a rich, engaging educational experience through a variety of specialized classes.
Beyond our educational offerings, The Great Leap Academy is a vibrant community, hosting birthday parties and events that celebrate the milestones of childhood. Our commitment extends beyond academic excellence; we are dedicated to shaping the future by imbuing every moment with love, respect, and the joy of learning. At The Great Leap Academy, we believe in nurturing the whole child, providing a foundation for lifelong learning and growth.
Our Staff
Our mantra is firmly rooted in the belief that 'There's no such thing as a bad kid.' We understand that children may misbehave due to reasons beyond their control. Our team consists of highly trained, dedicated professionals who are passionate about working with children. They undergo rigorous background checks and hold certifications in CPR and first aid. We also emphasize the use of positive discipline techniques to address misbehavior effectively.

Catering to early childhood ages 0-7, our academy offers a vibrant spectrum of programs designed to ignite creativity, foster development, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. From the rhythmic exploration in Music & Movement to the colorful world of Kandinsky Kids' fine arts immersion, every class is a step into a new adventure.
